Poland vs. Sweden: Who’s gonna win, eh?
Alright, so, Poland and Sweden, they’re gonna have a match. A big one, people say. Football, you know? The one with the ball and the kicking and running. Heard it on the radio, them fellas yelling names. Poland… Sweden… Sounds like places far, far away.
Now, I don’t know much about this fancy foot-kicking, but I do know a thing or two about watching things. And they say you can watch this Poland versus Sweden thing on TV. On that little box in the corner. They got pictures moving on it now, can you believe it? Used to be just radio, you know? Just voices. Now you can see ’em runnin’ around. Crazy, I tell ya.
So, if you wanna see these fellas play, you gotta find the right channel. They said something about ESPN. Sounds like one of them alphabet soups. But I guess you just gotta push some buttons on that box thing until you see the fellas in shorts. Or maybe it’s somethin’ else like “Watch ESPN” they talk about, gotta look for it, ain’t it?
And then there’s this “live scores” thing. Don’t know what that is, but it sounds important. Like, you can know what’s happening even if you ain’t watchin’. Like when the neighbor shouts from his porch that the cow got out, except it’s about football. Maybe it shows numbers, like who’s kickin’ better? They got numbers for everything these days.
- Watch on TV: Find that ESPN channel, or maybe that “Watch ESPN” thing they’re talkin’ about.
- Live Scores: Someone will yell out the numbers, I guess. Or maybe it’s on that phone thing everyone’s got.
- Lineups: Who’s playing, I reckon. Like who’s standin’ where. Heard they got fancy names these players.
- Stats: More numbers, I bet. How many times they kick, how many times they fall down, who knows?
They say this match is on March 29th. That’s… soon, ain’t it? Hope it ain’t rainin’ that day. Don’t want them fellas slippin’ and slidin’ in the mud. Though, that might be funny to watch. Heh.
And there’s talk of some time, like 7:45 PM GMT. What in tarnation is GMT? Sounds like another alphabet mess. Guess it means when it gets dark outside. So, turn on the TV when it’s dark, and you might see ‘em. Or maybe in the afternoon in some places, they said it’s different in US TV or somethin’.
I heard someone say this match is part of some “Euro 2020” thing. Sounds important. Like a big ol’ tournament. Must be a lot of teams kickin’ balls all over the place. And people are lookin’ how to watch Sweden vs Poland on US TV. So I guess lots of folks are gonna be watchin’ it.
So, who’s gonna win, Poland or Sweden? Beats me. I don’t know much about these teams. Never even been to Poland or Sweden. Are they even real places? Heard they got snow there. Lots of it. Maybe that’s why they’re good at kickin’ balls, all that slippin’ and slidin’ on the ice. Maybe that’s why they said something about Friday January 21 too. They gotta play lots of times, I guess.
Anyways, if you wanna watch, you go ahead. I’ll probably just stick to watchin’ the chickens in the yard. They’re more predictable, you know? And they don’t make as much noise as those fellas on the TV yellin’ about football.
But hey, if you like watching fellas kick a ball, you go right ahead. Just find that ESPN thing, or maybe that “Watch ESPN” on your TV, or your phone, or whatever they use these days. And remember, it’s March 29th, in the dark. Or maybe not, depends on where you are, I guess. And someone will be yellin’ out those scores, or maybe postin’ them numbers somewhere.
That’s all I know about this Poland versus Sweden thing. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed them chickens. They’re gettin’ mighty restless.
