Alright, listen up, y’all. Let’s talk about this Titans vs. Kings thing, you know, like them big ol’ monsters smackin’ each other around. It ain’t somethin’ I understand too well, but I’ll tell ya what I know.
First off, you got these Titans. Big fellas, like them King Kong and Godzilla types. Strong as an ox, they say. I seen pictures, and they scary lookin’, let me tell ya. They stomp around, breakin’ stuff, and roarin’ loud enough to make your ears bleed. Heard tell they can even breathe fire or somethin’. Land sakes, imagine that! Your whole house gone in a puff of smoke.
Then you got these Kings. Now, I ain’t sure if these Kings are different from the Titans, or just another name for ’em. Seems like they all just big, powerful critters fightin’ for somethin’ or other. Maybe they fightin’ over territory, like them roosters in my neighbor’s yard. Always peckin’ and squawkin’ at each other.
This whole Titans vs. Kings thing, it’s been goin’ on for a while now, seems like. They make movies about it, and folks go crazy for it. I reckon it’s ’cause people like seein’ big things fightin’. Reminds me of them tractor pulls down at the county fair. Folks cheerin’ and hollerin’ while them tractors roar and smoke. Same kinda thing, I guess, just with monsters instead of machines.
- One thing’s for sure, though, these fights are messy. Buildings get smashed, land gets tore up, and folks gotta run for their lives. It ain’t right, if you ask me. But I guess them monsters don’t care much about what I think.
- And then there’s this talk about who’s gonna win. Folks arguin’ all the time about who’s stronger, who’s faster, who’s got the better roar. It’s like them sports games on the TV. Everyone’s got their favorite team, and they’ll argue ’til they’re blue in the face. Me? I don’t care who wins, long as they don’t come stompin’ through my garden. Just got my tomatoes planted, and I’ll be hornswoggled if some giant lizard comes and ruins ’em.
Now, they say these Titans and Kings have been around for ages. Some say they came from outer space, some say they been sleepin’ deep in the earth, and some say they was made in a lab somewhere. I don’t know what to believe, but I reckon it don’t matter much where they came from. What matters is they here now, and they causin’ a ruckus.
They talk about epic battles, showdowns, smackdowns, whatever you wanna call ’em. Sounds like a whole lot of hoopla to me. But I guess it’s excitin’ for some folks. Me, I’d rather be sittin’ on my porch, sippin’ ice tea, and listenin’ to the birds sing. But that’s just me, I guess. I ain’t much for all this fightin’ and destruction.
They made a movie about it, Godzilla vs. Kong, they called it. Even made a new one! Folks lined up around the block to see it. I heard tell it was somethin’ else. All kinds of special effects and whatnot. Don’t know if I’ll ever see it myself, though. Too loud and too much goin’ on for my taste. I like a good quiet movie, somethin’ with a nice story and maybe a little bit of romance. Not all this boom-boom-pow stuff.
I heard on the radio the other day that they’re plannin’ even more of these Titans vs. Kings movies. Seems like they just can’t get enough of ’em. Well, I guess that’s good for the folks who make the movies, and the folks who like to watch ’em. But me? I’ll stick to my garden and my chickens. That’s enough excitement for one old lady.
So, that’s about all I got to say about these Titans vs. Kings. Big monsters, big fights, big noise. Not my cup of tea, but to each their own, I always say. Just hope they stay outta my yard, that’s all.
One more thing I heard, some folks say these monsters teach us about bravery or somethin’. Fightin’ for what you believe in. Well, I say fightin’ ain’t always the answer. Sometimes it’s better to just sit down and talk things out. But I guess them monsters ain’t much for talkin’.
Anyway, I’m done talkin’ about this now. My cornbread’s about done, and I gotta get supper on the table. Y’all take care now, and don’t go messin’ with no giant monsters, you hear?
