Alright, let’s talk about this Roma versus Lazio thing, you know, the football. I don’t know much about fancy stats or nothin’, but I can tell ya what I heard and seen.
Roma and Lazio, they been goin’ at it for a long time. Heard tell they started playin’ each other way back, like, Lazio in 1900 and Roma in 1927. That’s a lot of years, even for an old lady like me. They say they played, uh, 174 official games? That’s a heap of games, I tell ya. Roma, they won more, somethin’ like 65 times, and Lazio, they won 46. Don’t ask me about the others, maybe they tied or somethin’.

Since 2003, they played 48 games. Roma won 20, Lazio won 16, and they tied 12 times. Sounds about right, Roma always been a bit stronger, like my old rooster back on the farm. Strong and mean, that one was.
They score goals too, you know, that’s how you win. Roma scored somethin’ like 63 goals in those games, and Lazio got 56. Not a big difference, really. Sometimes one team gets lucky, sometimes the other. It’s like when I go to the bingo, sometimes I win, sometimes I don’t. That’s life.
I remember hearin’ about a game back in 2000. Lazio won 2-1. Folks said it was a big deal, helped them win somethin’ called a “Scudetto”. Sounded important, like winnin’ the pie contest at the county fair. Everybody was talkin’ about it for weeks.
Now, they talk about this “head-to-head” stuff. Means how they played against each other, I guess. They say Roma won 17 times and Lazio won 13 times in the last 37 games they played. See? Roma still winnin’ more, just like I said.
And this fella, Igor Tudor, he used to play for Juventus, then he started coachin’ Lazio. And wouldn’t you know it, his first game he beat Juventus! Folks were surprised, I reckon. It’s like if my old mule suddenly started winnin’ races. You just wouldn’t expect it.
They also play against other teams, not just each other. Roma played this Genoa team 34 times since 2007. Won 22 times! That’s a lot. Genoa only won 6 times. Roma, they like to win, I tell ya. And they score lots of goals too, 63 against Genoa. Lazio, they played Bologna, won 2, lost 3 in the last 5 games. Not so good, eh? Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, that’s what I always say.
So, that’s the story of Roma and Lazio, as far as I can tell. They fight, they score, they win some, they lose some. Just like the rest of us, I suppose. But they do it with a ball and a bunch of fellas runnin’ around. Seems like a lot of work to me, I’d rather sit and watch.
Anyway, if you’re gonna bet on a game, maybe bet on Roma, they seem to win more. But don’t blame me if you lose, I ain’t no expert, just an old lady who hears things.
