That’s just bad luck, I tell ya.
And that Ronaldo fella, the one everyone makes such a fuss about? He didn’t score at all! Can you believe it? All that hype, and nothin’ to show for it. Maybe he’s gettin’ too old, like me! Hehe. But he still ran around a lot, bless his heart.

They showed how Luxembourg was tryin’ to stop Portugal, but it was tough. It was like watchin’ David and Goliath, but without the sling. Poor things.
There was this other game, I heard about it. Portugal played against France, and they lost! Can you imagine? Lost on penalties, they said. Kinda like kickin’ field goals, but with your feet. And that was it for Portugal in that tournament, whatever it was called. Euro somethin’ or other. Too many names and numbers for this old brain, I tell ya.
I watched the game on the TV, you know, that flat box thing. My grandson set it all up for me. Said somethin’ about an “App” and a “website”. Sounded like gibberish to me, but I got to watch the game, so that’s all that matters. They said the game was at 4 pm GMT, whatever that means. Sounded like afternoon to me, so I made sure to have my tea and biscuits ready.
