Anyway, they’re probably hopin’ to give the Mariners a run for their money. Can’t blame ’em, everybody wants to beat the champs.

Me, I prefer a good ol’ fashioned hoe-down, but to each their own, right?

How many goals they scored, how many they let in, who won the last time they played each other, all that jazz. They say the Mariners have a good chance of winning at home. Makes sense, I guess. Nobody wants to lose in front of their own people.
I heard tell that this game is gonna be on TV. You can watch it live, they say. See all the action, the goals, the tackles, the whole nine yards. And they got these things called “live updates” too. Folks typin’ away on their phones, tellin’ everyone what’s happening. It’s a whole different world now, ain’t it?
So, if I had to put my money on it, and believe me, I ain’t got much to spare, I’d probably go with the Mariners too. They’re the home team, they’re the champs, and they gotta start winnin’ sometime. But like I said, I ain’t no expert. Anything can happen in these games. That’s why they play ’em, right? Keeps things interesting.
And this “H2H” they keep talkin’ about, head-to-head I guess it means. They look at who won when these two teams played before. Guess that matters to some folks. Me, I just like seein’ a good, clean game. None of that fancy footwork and floppin’ around like they got shot. Just good, honest effort. That’s what I like to see.
Anyways, that’s my two cents on this Perth Glory vs. Central Coast Mariners game. Take it or leave it. Just a bunch of fellas kickin’ a ball around, if you ask me. But some folks get real worked up about it. Guess it’s somethin’ to do. Keeps ’em outta trouble, maybe.
