Well now, folks, let me tell ya ’bout that game between Egypt and South Sudan. You know, it’s that one where the Egyptians were up against the folks from South Sudan in a friendly match, held on June 18th, 2023. It was at the big ol’ Cairo International Stadium, in the city of Cairo, Egypt. The match ended with Egypt winning 3-0, nice and easy-like, against South Sudan.
Now, don’t go thinking it was all that exciting. Egypt came out strong, right from the start. That boy Mostafa Fathi, he scored the first goal. A fine kick he made at the 19th minute, thanks to an assist from Kahraba. Most of the folks in the stands were real happy ’bout that, clappin’ their hands and shoutin’. Egypt looked real sharp in the first half, and South Sudan, well, they just couldn’t keep up.
The game went on, and Egypt kept holdin’ that lead. I reckon South Sudan just couldn’t figure out how to break through Egypt’s defense. Now, Egypt’s defense, they were like a big ol’ wall. Ain’t nobody gettin’ past them that day. And those boys up front, they kept pushin’ hard to get those extra goals, even though South Sudan was doin’ their best to hold them back.
In the second half, Egypt kept up the pressure. They didn’t slow down none, even though they already had the lead. Some teams, when they get ahead, they take it easy, but not Egypt. No, they kept fightin’, and that led to a couple more goals. By the time the whistle blew, it was 3-0, and the Egyptians were the ones smilin’, feelin’ good ’bout their win. South Sudan, well, they had to go home and think ’bout what went wrong.
Now, don’t get me wrong, South Sudan ain’t no pushovers. They been tryin’ real hard, but that day, Egypt was just too strong. You look at their history, Egypt has been a real powerhouse in football for many years, and South Sudan is still findin’ their feet in international play. You can’t just compare the two like that, Egypt’s got a lot more experience under their belt.
What happened in that game?
- First goal came from Mostafa Fathi, with a nice assist from Kahraba in the 19th minute.
- Egypt dominated possession and controlled the game from start to finish.
- South Sudan tried their best but just couldn’t break through Egypt’s strong defense.
- Egypt scored two more goals after the first, finishing with a solid 3-0 victory.
So, what can we learn from all this? Well, sometimes in football, it’s about experience and strength. Egypt’s been around the block a few times, and they showed South Sudan what it means to play at the highest level. But don’t count South Sudan out just yet. They’ve still got some fire in ’em, and they’ll be lookin’ to bounce back stronger next time. It’s all part of the game, ain’t it?
Now, I reckon y’all can go back to watchin’ your own games or havin’ a bit of a rest, but remember that Egypt, they sure made it look easy that day, 3-0. And the folks from South Sudan, they’ll be learnin’ from this one, that’s for sure.
